The script then configures a TCP Server socket on port 5001 on the Wi-Fi Client (EVK) using the following AT command at+rsi_ltcp=5001, The module’s response will look as follows: This command configures the IP address of the module.
After the join is successful, the next command issued would be at+rsi_ipconf=1. On successful association, the module responds with OK. This command connects the Wi-Fi client to the Access Point with the specified SSID, in this example "Silicon_labs". The next command issued would be at+rsi_join=Silicon_labs,0,2,6 (or with the specific SSID entered).

Tera term will pop up a request for the PSK or password of the AP and that should be entered here. The data received might have some unreadable characters because of ASCII conversion. The module responds with information of the Access Point scanned. Make sure there is such an AP in range, and that it is set into WPA2-PSK mode. In the next pop-up that requests for an SSID, enter the SSID of the desired AP to be scanned and hit 'OK', ( at+rsi_scan=0, Silicon_labs).

Here 4F 4B is for OK and the remaining data is the MAC Address, ending with a CR and LF. The script issues an at+rsi_init command to initialize the RF of the module in the EVK. The command ( at+rsi_band=0) then configures the operating band of the Wi-Fi client to 2.4GHz. In the pop-up that asks for desired band of operation, enter 0 for the 2.4 GHz band. STEP 5 The Opermode command at+rsi_opermode=0,1,4,0 configures the module as a Wi-Fi client. Tera Term begins executing the station_mode.ttl script. If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to post them….This application demonstrates the procedure to configure the RS9116W Module in WLAN STA mode. I am not saying this is the only way to accomplish what I was trying to do, but it certainly was easy, did not require any purchases, and is easy to describe and duplicate. Since it was in an active session with my Linux box, the text was pasted into Linux as if I typed it there personally. I would then select text from the Notepad file on the Windows box, click into my TeraTerm window, and then paste the text there. Back on my Windows box, any command I wanted to enter, especially commands I was repeating frequently, I typed into Notepad. I launched TeraTerm on my Windows box and then opened a SSH session to my Linux box. See figure 1 for a screenshot of TeraTerm once it is launched: I used TeraTerm (accessible here Tera Term Home Page), but Putty or SecureCRT or any other terminal emulator will work. This solution does involve having another machine (in this case a Windows box) that can run terminal emulation software.
So I checked the usual web resources, and didn’t find a solution I liked. I was working with Linux virtual machines (although this method will work on a nuts-and-bolts machine just as well) when I wanted to paste text into the window.
This is just a quick blog to describe a solution I found to an annoying problem.
